Appointment of Soria Hearne
We are excited to welcome Soria Hearne, who officially joined the HVM-family on 1 September 2025.
Soria grew up on a farm just outside Bredasdorp, where her love for the outdoors first began. She earned her diploma from Stellenbosch University in 1998 and started her first job in Hermanus. In 2005 Soria moved to Somerset West. She joined the Boeremark Group in 2010, where she dedicated 15 and a half years of service.
With a long-standing passion for finance, Soria finds great satisfaction in reconciling accounts and getting the numbers to balance – something she describes as her biggest motivation. Outside of work, she enjoys walking, spending time in nature, and gardening.
We’re thrilled to have her on the team and look forward to the journey ahead!
Spanbou
Ons het die koue oggend afgeskop met heerlike koffie by Eight Feet Village in Riebeeck Kasteel. Daar het ons die asemrowende uitsig geniet voordat ons weer verder in die pad geval het na Diemersfontein in Wellington.
Teambo het ons gelei in spanbou aktiwiteite wat ons vertroue in mekaar versterk het en ook die kompeterende natuur in elkeen na vore gebring het.
Team breakfast at Farmers’ Kitchen

Last week, our team gathered for a refreshing morning at The Farmer’s Kitchen, a charming spot tucked away in the Cape countryside. With hearty farm-style meals and locally brewed coffee, the experience reminded us just how valuable these shared moments are — not just for team bonding, but for recharging our collective energy after the busy month that has passed.
GMNI Africa
Our directors recently had the privilege of attending the GMNI Africa Conference in Mauritius, an event that brought together leading professionals, firms, and business leaders across the continent. The conference served as an excellent platform to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration and explore new opportunities within the GMNI international network. The island’s natural beauty provided the perfect backdrop for networking and building professional relationships.
Parel Vallei toneelfees
Ons is baie trots op al die drama leerders van Parel Vallei wat die afgelope drie maande uitgeblink het op die verhoog. Hulle het deelgeneem aan verskeie toneelfeeste soos die Wes-Kaap streekfees asook die ATKV toneelfees. Twee van die produksies het die finaal gehaal van die ATKV-Streekfees. Grootvoet is aangewys as die wenner van die fees!
